I thought I’d be clever
When naming my blog
50 Shades was trending
With its wanking and snogs
I know it’s not porno
This little blog of mine
But it can get racey
When I’m into my wine
So when a day does come
That I can spend all in Gray
I feel I must share it
In my own special way
So I hope you enjoy it
These little snappy spurts
50 Shades of Gray(tone)
Trust me…it won’t hurt

Hi everyone! Welcome to 50 Shades of Gray Hair. 50 Shades is my blog of life over the hill, where each day is full of delicious opportunities to earn another gray hair. I stopped declaring war on the gray when I began this blog years ago. Instead, I embrace and celebrate them along with whatever life decides to throw my way, with (sarcasm forward) humor and an optimistic eye to the future. I think. I hope? I don't know. At any rate...it's real, it's honest, it's full of 4 letter words, and it's me...on a platter. I sincerely welcome you all to my porch....♥♥Rhonda

Holy Moses these are good. I ee that you love the Bald Eagle. All the shots are wonderful but I especially like the old houses falling into disrepair and the old church is perfect. I’d like to see more of the B&W pics which happen to be my favorite media for about half of my best photos. I just don’t have mine on digital but hope to remedy that before I kick the bucket. 🙂
Oh and your poem is a good one too.

You are so sweet. It’s good to see you…I’ve been MIA for a while, so it’s always nice to reconnect 🙂 Thanks so much, I love eagles and have been hunting them for a while, scouting out places I think they nest. I wish I had a better zoom lens…one day I will…then I’ll get up close and personal 🙂 And b&w is fun to do…so many different ways they can come out…but always looks good with the old buildings I look for.

I’d love to see more old buildings like these in this post. There is nothing in my blah, central Texas area that compares with your subject matter. It just “aint” here. East Texas maybe but I don’t have the leisure of driving over 100-150 miles to look for old buildings. We have a few nesting Bald Eagles around some of the lakes but I no longer have a telephoto lens of more than 200mm. I wish I were about 10 years younger and I’d invest in one. But alas…

I have a lot of old barns and buildings…a lot of history here on the east coast 🙂 I do have some photo pages on my blog…look to the left menu area..hover on the stars and one of them is pages of photos. One of them is about barns I think…Barn Dance. But I’ll work on an old building post for ya!

Thank you, I will look tonight. It is great that you have so much subject matter. I will be looking forward to posts of old buildings. It seems such a shame to see those once nice old homes now in a state of decay.

I agree with you. Sometimes, it’s a bittersweet hobby.

Found the barn post by typing in old barns in the search box. I commented on them over there. Never did see a star to hover on. But then I am not seeing very well. Had second cataract surgery last week and need new glasses but can’t have them for six weeks. 🙂

Wishing you a speedy and full recovery from your cataract surgery. No fun getting older. Glad you found the barns…I’d forgotten I’d moved the menu so it was my fault you couldn’t find them 🙂 thanks again

I see that you sent me one or two links but I can not copy then because they do not completely show up in my admin. notices. I have no idea where to find them on your blog so I am letting you know here at the nearest place I know to leave a comment. Have you tried to fix it yet or is it my blog that is having a spell? You are the only blogger that this is happening to on my blog. Gee aren’t modern technologies a pain sometimes? You can email me also. yvonnedanielrn@yahoo.com
